Founder’s note

Management exposes your default pattern.

I built LeadSim Lab for technical professionals who step into management without a safe place to rehearse difficult calls. The aim is simple: compress the first-year pressure into a structured simulation, reveal the pattern behind your decisions, and give you a workbook that turns the result into deliberate practice.

Our mission

Help new managers practise difficult decisions before they carry real consequences.

FAQ

Before you enter the lab.

How is LeadSim different from a leadership assessment?

Most assessments ask what you think you would do. LeadSim puts you inside management pressure scenarios and evaluates the decisions you make across the simulation.

How does LeadSim identify my leadership style?

LeadSim does not rely on a simple static questionnaire. Each simulation is built from a larger bank of 90 management scenarios covering communication, conflict, delegation, performance, pressure, stakeholder management, and team dynamics.

As you progress, LeadSim uses trend mapping to analyze decision patterns across multiple situations. It looks for recurring leadership tendencies, not just one-off answers.

You can learn more about the framework, scoring model, and methodology on the Methodology page.

What do I receive after completing it?

You receive a personalized leadership report, style percentages across six leadership styles, decision evidence, and a workbook matched to your dominant and weakest leadership pattern.

What leadership model is this based on?

LeadSim is built around the six leadership styles introduced by psychologist Daniel Goleman and popularized through Harvard Business Review's landmark article "Leadership That Gets Results".

The framework identifies six leadership approaches: Visionary, Coaching, Affiliative, Democratic, Pacesetting, and Coercive. Rather than asking you which style you prefer, LeadSim evaluates which styles naturally emerge through your decisions across multiple management scenarios.

You can learn more about the framework, scoring model, and methodology on the Methodology page.

Can I retake the simulation later?

Yes. You can retake it after gaining experience, changing roles, or working through your workbook to see how your leadership pattern has shifted.

How long does it take to complete full simulation?

Most users complete the full simulation in around 15–20 minutes. The experience includes 30 management decisions under workplace pressure.
